Privacy policy

We collect as little as we can, and we tell you exactly what and why.

1. Who is responsible

We process your personal data in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

2. What we collect and why

Visiting the site

When you open a page, our hosting and security provider Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. This is needed to deliver the page and protect the site from attacks. Lawful basis: legitimate interests, Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR. Logs are kept for a short period only.

Cookie choice

We store your cookie decision in a small cookie so we don't ask you again. Lawful basis: legal obligation under PECR and legitimate interests.

Affiliate and conversion tracking

When you click a partner link, we and our tracking provider AnyTrack record the click, a click ID, the page you came from and, if you arrived through an advert, the ad click ID (such as Google's gclid). If you later buy from the partner, the affiliate network (Everflow and the partner retailer) reports the sale back so we receive our commission and so Google Ads can measure which adverts work. We never receive your name, address or payment details from the retailer.

This only happens with your consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time in the .

Google Ads

We advertise with Google Ads and use Google's conversion measurement with Consent Mode v2. Provider: Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC. Details: Google privacy policy.

Email

If you write to us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you. We delete them when they are no longer needed, unless the law requires us to keep them.

3. Service providers

  • Cloudflare, Inc. (hosting, security, content delivery)

  • Everflow Technologies, Inc. and the affiliate networks we work with (attribution of sales)
  • Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC (advertising and conversion measurement)

4. International transfers

Some of these providers process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where a provider is certified under the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (the "UK-US data bridge"), transfers rely on that. Otherwise they are covered by the International Data Transfer Addendum to the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, issued by the ICO. You can ask us for more information on these safeguards.

5. How long we keep data

Only as long as needed for the purposes above. Tracking data is generally kept for up to 12 months, then deleted or anonymised.

6. Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability and to withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights, write to hello@toptestedpicks.com. We reply within one month.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We'd appreciate the chance to sort out your concern first, so please contact us before you go to the ICO.

7. Children

This site is not aimed at children under 16 and we don't knowingly collect their data.

8. Changes

We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The date at the top always shows the current version.
